- 2.0L Type 4 engines with hydraulic grind camshaft fitted to Type 2 (Kombi's) from 1976 to 1979.
- 2.0L Type 4 engines fitted to T3 models from 1980 to 1983.
- 1.9L WBX engines (DH engine code) fitted to T3 models from 1984 to 1985.
- 2.1L WBX engines (MV engine code) fitted to T3 models from 1986 to 1992.
